Tasks that inspire me
- Identify potential clients and market segments to grow the customer base.
- Manage key accounts to build long-term business relationships.
- Maintain records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM systems.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of customer proposals and service offers.
- Communicate directly with clients to clarify service needs, follow up on quotes, and support customer retention efforts.
- Analyze routing options, carriers, and service levels to create competitive pricing for both air and sea freight.
- Request and negotiate rates with shipping lines, airlines, and agents.
- Ensure all quotations are prepared accurately and delivered within required timelines.
- Maintain a comprehensive rate database and update pricing regularly based on market trends.
- Work closely with operations, and overseas agents to ensure pricing aligns with service capabilities
- Monitor carrier surcharges, fuel costs, and industry changes affecting freight pricing.
- Collaborate with trade lane managers to create strategies for specific markets or commodities.
- Analyze trends in air and sea freight markets, including competition, rates, and capacity.
- Support the development of pricing models and margin analysis tools.
- Provide weekly/monthly sales & pricing reports and forecasts to management
