This position is responsible for coordinating air and ocean import shipments to ensure timely delivery in accordance with customer requirements. The role supports service excellence through proactive communication and collaboration with customers, shippers, vendors, overseas agents, and global partners.
Your profile
- High School Graduate, Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs
- Minimum of 5-years experience in air & sea operations
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
- Strong customer service background
- Highly motivated and results driven
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Work well under pressure and ability to multitask
- Highly detail oriented
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
Your Duties
- Manage air and ocean import shipments from arrival through final delivery while ensuring compliance with company procedures, customs regulations, and customs requirements
- Serve as the primary contact for customers, carriers, customs authorities, and service providers regarding shipment activity and issue resolution
- Oversee shipment documentation, customs filings, cargo availabilty, and delivery timelines to prevent delays and additional costs
- Coordinate service providers and resolve operational, customs, documentation and transportation issues independently
- Prepare and verify invoices, payment requests, and accounts payable/receivable documentation, while resolving billing and accounting-related discrepancies
- Ensure timely communication, accurate recordkeeping, and adherence to all regulatory and company requirements
- Participate in weekend coverage rotations
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager
